Summer season ruled by Pitta dosha is here and so it's a hot, sunny weather affecting our overall balance. To keep your fiery Pitta under control make sure you add cooling ingredients to your food and drink recipes. I like to make this delicious latte during summer months to enjoy as an afternoon treat with my family, friends or alone when in between yoga and consulting sessions to get little energy boost.
INGREDIENTS (makes 2 mugs)
8 oz almond milk, steamed and frothed
2 teaspoons of dried, organic rose petals
8 oz boiling filtered water
2 big tablespoons of powdered matcha
1/2-1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
A pinch of cardamom (optional)
Place the loose rose petals into an infuser. Add the 4 ounces of hot water to a large mug and steep the infuser for about 3-4 minutes. Remove the infuser, then add the matcha powder and cardamom. Whisk with a whisk until the tea becomes smooth.
Next, add your steamed and frothed almond milk and maple syrup to the mug.
Sprinkle your drink with few rose petals if you like.
